As part of the Department for Education’s sustainability and climate change strategy, all education settings are expected to have a climate action plan and a sustainability lead climate action plan and a sustainability lead in place by the end of 2025. During the new academic year, a number of organisations will be working together to offer a wide range of free support to nursery, school and college leaders to enable them to act on climate and nature.
Be one of the first education leaders to benefit from this support and start the development of your climate and nature action plan by attending one of nine free regional events as part of Climate and Nature Action in Education in September. At each event you will be able to hear about support from:
- The National Education Nature Park
- The Sustainability Support for Education service
- The Climate Ambassador Programme
- Let’s Go Zero Climate Action Advisors
ASCL is co-sponsoring the events alongside the UK Schools Sustainability Network and the Early Years Alliance. You will have the opportunity to start to build your climate and nature action plan and to work with other education and sustainability leaders on developing partnerships across your region. Each event is free, but places are limited, and you can only access two places per education setting.
