Early Years Training and Professional Development Programme 2024-2025
Our digital Training and Professional Development programme provides a wealth of CPD opportunities for practitioners throughout the sector, whether you are an experienced manager of a busy private nursery, a reception teacher in a school, or a newly qualified practitioner.
The programme offers easily accessible training and learning opportunities through face to face courses and virtual courses via TEAMs, as well as self-study opportunities through pre-recorded introductory courses, research and articles on our new Learning Library, as well as in-depth courses on Learning Together.
Our CPD programme is established around key priorities which are identified through data and wider national research. For instance, you will notice that moderation sessions have a sharp focus on supporting the attainment of disadvantaged children as part of our wider LA drive to reduce the disadvantage attainment gap. All CPD opportunities will enable you to meet your statutory duties in relation to the EYFS, supporting the school readiness journey and improving outcomes for all children.
We recommend using your own attainment data and knowledge of practitioner skill set to prioritise the CPD needs within your own setting.
To enhance your CPD needs further, take advantage of the SLA Consultancy Support visits available to you across the year. These can be used in a variety of bespoke ways to help you reflect on your provision and practice at a deeper level. Please speak to your locality Early Years Consultant or Early Years and Childcare Performance Partner for more information about what this support might look like for you.
