MELVA is an award-winning, creative, digital media programme, which improves children and young people’s knowledge and understanding of mental health and wellbeing and teaches them practical self-management techniques.

MELVA is a user-friendly, early intervention and prevention approach, designed to be used by primary schools & specialist settings. It’s a proven, fun, and impactful way for teachers to work with whole classes, addressing wellbeing issues before children reach crisis point and reducing referrals to over-stretched statutory services.

MELVA is for all children, not just those who are struggling. It focuses on teaching children the basic skills and understanding they need to keep themselves well, whatever challenges they might face in the future, supporting the development of resilience pathways, positive emotional responses and relationships.

This showcase is open to any settings or Trust representatives interested in using MELVA for academic year 25/26, any teacher / educator from current MELVA schools unfamiliar with the programme, Local Authority School Improvement Teams & Public Health colleagues and potential commissioners.
