SACRE stands for Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education. Each local authority must have a SACRE made up of members of local church denominations, networks, religions, or worldviews, councillors and teachers’ professional associations.
SACRE’s main function and scope of interest is to advise the authority on matters relating to religious education and collective worship. The committee meets once a term (hybrid meetings). We are looking for members of ASCL and NAHT to join the committee.
