Northumberland County Council and HeadsUp4HTs are pleased to be launching a new HeadsUp4HTs Peer Support Programme for deputy and assistant headteachers this June, following the success of the HeadsUp4HTs headteacher peer support groups which have been running across Northumberland for a number of years.
Funded by the North East Combined Authority, the programme is designed to create a supportive community of values-led leaders who are committed to intentional wellbeing, connection and sustainable leadership practice. It offers a confidential, coach-led space for deputy and assistant headteachers to reflect, connect with peers and gain support in the realities of leadership. As you will be aware, recent national data continues to highlight the declining number of deputy headteachers aspiring to move into headship, alongside growing concerns around leadership sustainability and wellbeing across the profession.
The programme aims to support the development of self-sustaining peer wellbeing networks across local communities, helping leaders to continue supporting one another beyond the programme itself.
Further details, including dates and how to sign up, can be found in the flyer here.
