Dear Colleagues,
We are relocating Astley High and Whytrig Middle Schools to their new build, week commencing 04 August 2025.
We are therefore able to offer some legacy furniture to other schools in Northumberland.
An example of the furniture on offer is:
- Tables;
- Design Technology equipment;
- Science furniture;
- Books – including curriculum textbooks;
- Noticeboards;
- Catering equipment; and
- Other miscellaneous furniture and equipment.
If you are interested in viewing the items available, please contact Robyn Marley: Robyn.Marley@northumberland.gov.uk
It would be preferable for you to view and collect the items at the same time, but we understand for larger items, colleagues may need to return with suitable transport.
You will need to book an appointment between Wednesday 10 September 2025 and Friday 12 September 2025 and Jacqui will meet you on site at Astley High School. This is for viewing and collecting of furniture.
Please note, you will be required to bring your own labels to write your school name on and stick on the items that you wish to remove.
Please note: We require furniture to be removed from the site by 12 September at the very latest, preferably earlier.
Furniture will also be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you do not return to collect your items at the agreed time, they will be offered to the following schools to view and collect.
