Northumberland Cultural Education Partnership is working with the North East Combined Authority and County Durham Cultural Education Partnership on a proposal for a pilot project funded as part of the North East Child Poverty Action Plan. The aim of the project is to create a sustainable model to support schools to access cultural education trips, as transport costs have been identified as one of the main barriers (particularly for rural schools) in running cultural trips.
However, we need to hear from Northumberland schools about what you feel the barriers are for schools in taking pupils on cultural trips, and what your school would like to be able to provide for your students.
