Healthy Relationships: Free Training course

The government’s new VAWG and RSHE strategies both emphasise that teaching about safe and respectful relationships is most effective when it is echoed in the home environment.

As teachers we sometimes see the early signs of parental conflict, and recognise that a child’s behaviour and their own relationships risk being influenced and harmed by the conflict they see at home

Healthy Parental Relationships Training (Parental Conflict) is open to a wide range of front line practitioners working with adults, children and families in a variety of roles.

Date and time: 24th February 2026 13:00 – 16:00 (online)

What you will learn:

  • How to recognise the signs of parental conflict at the early stages.
  • How to support parents in finding constructive outcomes which are shown to provide positive lessons for children to learn such skills of negotiation and compromise.
  • The impact arguments have on children – what signs to look for?
  • Practising the skills of handling conversations with parents in conflict
  • What does the Family Hub offer for parents who are together or separated?
