Furniture available to Northumberland schools

Dear Colleagues,

We are relocating Hexham Middle School and Queen Elizabeth High School to their new build over the summer holidays in preparation for the start of the new academic year and are able to offer some legacy furniture and equipment to other schools in Northumberland for free.

An example of the furniture on offer is:

  • Chairs and tables/desks;
  • Smartboards and projectors;
  • Design Technology equipment;
  • Science furniture;
  • Books – including curriculum textbooks;
  • Noticeboards;
  • Catering equipment; and
  • Other miscellaneous furniture and equipment.

If you are interested in viewing the items available, please contact Ross Downey:

Ross.Downey@northumberland.gov.uk

It would be preferable for you to view and collect any items at the same time in one visit due to availability, and to minimise contact within the building, but we understand for larger items colleagues may need to return with suitable transport.

For Queen Elizabeth High School, appointments are available on 2nd and 3rd September 2021, and for Hexham Middle School on 8th and 9th September 2021. This is for viewing and collecting of furniture and that any furniture is unlikely to be available after these dates.

Please note: furniture will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.  If you do not collect your items at the agreed time, they will be offered to other schools to view and collect.

Many thanks,

Ross Downey
