Dear Colleagues,
As you will be aware the middle school at Glendale closed at the end of August 2026 and we are therefore able to offer surplus legacy furniture and educational resources to other schools in Northumberland.
An example of the furniture/resources on offer includes:
- Pupil Tables and Chairs;
- Design Technology benches and equipment;
- Cooker / Microwave
- Science resources;
- Musical Instruments – Keyboard/Drum/Guitar
- Books – including curriculum textbooks;
- Other miscellaneous furniture and equipment.
If you are interested in viewing items available, please contact Deborah Anderson (deborah.anderson01@northumberland.gov.uk) to book an appointment on one of the following days:
- Wednesday 4th November 2026
- Friday 6th November 2026
It would be preferable for you to view and collect the items at the same time, but we understand for larger items, you may need to return with suitable transport. You will be required to bring your own labels to write your school name on and stick on the items that you wish to remove (if you are unable to take immediately).
You will be met at the site of Glendale Primary School by Deborah Anderson for viewing and collecting of furniture.
Please note: We require furniture/resources to be removed from the site by Friday 6th November 2026 at the latest, preferably earlier. Furniture/resources will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you do not return to collect your items at the agreed time, they will be offered to other schools to view and collect.
