We are pleased to announce that from 1 November, Connected Safety Net will become the new incident reporting system for Northumberland County Council, including for all maintained schools and any other schools who are part of our service level agreement for health and safety advice.
Connected Safety Net will replace our current ANVIL incident reporting system and provide a modern, consistent platform for recording and managing accidents, near misses and violent incidents. This new system is web based and also has a mobile app which will eliminate the friction that I know schools have experienced with our existing system.
Staff in schools who are involved in logging incidents, or those who will require sight of report forms, will need an account to be able to access Connected Safety Net. If you haven’t already registered for an account, please do so by completing this form (only one from needs to be completed per school as there is the option to request accounts for multiple people).
To ensure everyone is prepared for the transition, we are running a series of briefing sessions that will provide an overview of the new system, demonstrate how incidents will be reported, and explain what changes users can expect.
We strongly encourage all colleagues who are involved in reporting or investigating incidents or reviewing incident information to attend one of these sessions.
To book your place on a briefing session, please complete the Microsoft Form using the link below:

Further information, guidance materials, and support arrangements will be shared on the Corporate Health and Safety Teams Share Point site ahead of the launch along with information and via e-courier.
Thank you for your support as we implement this important improvement to our incident reporting process.
