Following a review by Safer Northumberland Partnership and agreement through Northumberland Children and Adult Safeguarding Partnership Executive Group the OFFENSIVE WEAPON AND KNIFE CARRYING PROTOCOL FOR EDUCATION (NORTHUMBERLAND) has been refreshed.
The updated document can be found here and in the DSL SharePoint ( Police Information)and you will note that the key change has been that any incidents involving an offensive weapon or knife in school must be reported using a MARF and the incident will be triaged at the Front Door in the same way as Prevent incidents.
