British Cycling – Level 1 Ride Leader Training and Introduction into Coaching Award

Have you been wondering about taking part in a Ride Leader training or Cycle Coaching course, we are hoping to run both these courses in 2025. If you or a member of staff at your school would like to take part or find out more please complete this form or email  tracy.aitken@northumberland.gov.uk

British Cycling Ride Leader Level 1 Course

This a full day course with an additional 3-4 hours of online pre course work. Staff will need to bring their own bicycles and have completed a First Aid course before starting to train pupils. Over 60 members of school staff have already completed this course and gone on to set up cycling projects, we can support you to this at your school with advice from professionals and other schools once you’ve completed the course.

Introduction into Coaching Award

Weeks 3-5Virtual seminars(3 evenings)Tutor-led discussions with some short tasks
