Linking Leaders is a popular professional development programme for experienced headteachers, which the North-East Combined Authority are funding for a fourth year. You can read an evaluation of the previous cohorts here and a summary of the programme here.
This is an opportunity for you and your deputy headteacher, or another senior leader, to focus on curriculum development and how it is informed by the latest well-regarded research. The programme brings together successful leadership teams north of The River Tyne, to exchange experiences and expertise and to engage in peer review on school sites. It arises from a partnership between the Newcastle Research School and Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland Local Authorities. The project is for first and primary schools and is best suited to schools where the headteacher has at least two years’ experience.
There are six spaces for Northumberland schools this year. If you require more information about the suitability of this project for your school, please contact jane.kennedy@northumberland.gov.uk .
If you are happy to sign up now you can find dates of the sessions and a booking link here.
