The new 2025 statutory guidance to RSE and RSHE states that:
Primary schools should consult parents about the content of anything that will be taught within sex education. This process should include offering parents support in talking to their children about sex education and how to link this with what is being taught in school as well as advice about parents’ right to request withdrawal from sex education.
Course Overview
This training aims to support parents, guardians, carers and practitioners working with families to facilitate age-appropriate discussions around growing up, body changes, puberty, healthy relationships and sexual health. Parents & Carers may request bespoke sessions for this course.
Target Group
The training is aimed at parents, guardians, carers and anyone working with children and young people. Parents & Carers are welcome to attend the training.
To attend this free course, you must either live or work in Northumberland and we reserve the right to reject or charge for any applications from anyone who does not meet these criteria.
