Linking Leaders of Secondary Science 2025-26 – signups now open

Northumberland middle/secondary/high schools are invted to take part in the 2025-26 cohort of Linking Leaders of Secondary Science. Following a successful pilot programme last year, North Tyneside Council are delighted to have secured funding from North East Combined Authority for the programme to run again. Delivered in partnership with Newcastle Research School, this exciting fully funded action research project is aimed at forward-thinking and ambitious curriculum leaders in secondary science.

Open to all Middle, Secondary and High schools, the intention is that a curriculum lead pair (this may be a curriculum leader alongside their senior leadership link, or a curriculum leader alongside an assistant curriculum leader/head of subject) will be able to represent each school across the suite of sessions. However, we understand that it can sometimes be difficult for two key staff to be out of school at the same time and we are happy for you to include another appropriate member of staff to accommodate school circumstances.

If schools are interested in taking part or would like to find out more about the programme, they can click here or scan the QR code and on the flyer and complete the short form.
