A reminder that Northumberland headteachers have FREE access to a range of support from Headsup4HTs, funded by the North East Combined Authority.
The support consists of:
- Peer support groups – groups of Northumberland HTs who meet online to discuss the issues of the day, and support one another. The meetings are facilitated by Kate from Headsup initially. (Some of the groups that formed when the LA funded Headsup a few years ago still meet now, and are featured in a forthcoming book!)
- A wellbeing app – simply designed to give you access to resources at a time that suits you
- Crisis coaching – a phone call(s) with a trained member of the Headsup team when you need someone to help work through an issue/problem. You may be able to use this service for your deputy (if you have one) as well.
- Core coaching – this will be available early next year so details will follow after Christmas.

Please be assured that the Local Authority and NECA cannot access any of the information about who has signed up to what. Do take advantage of the offer – in a time of budget difficulties, rising additional needs, a new Ofsted toolkit and all of the proposed curriculum changes a group of like-minded people to talk to might be a real benefit.
