Autumn Term Moderation Writing Year 2
During the first part of the session, key statements from the teacher assessment framework will be unpicked using national training materials. Year 2 teachers will explore pupil can statements focusing on the difference between expected standard and working towards the expected standard. Following this input, teachers will then have time to look through some of their own pupils’ writing books concentrating on, and evidencing, the statements for their key stage. There is no charge for maintained schools or those signed up to the Moderation and Testing SLA. Costs for schools from outside of the SLAs are charged at £45 per participant.

Moderation and Assessment Writing: New to Year 6
This training is for teachers new to year 6 (or those who would like a refresher) who wish to get a better understanding of the end of key stage expectations and assessment in writing. We will use samples of work and the Teacher Assessment Framework to unpick some of the ‘I can’ statements for the expected standard and greater depth. We will look at the external moderation process and administration of SATs. There is no charge for maintained schools or those signed up to the Moderation and Testing SLA. Costs for schools from outside of the SLAs are charged at £45 per participant. Please note spaces are limited, so booking is essential.
