Northumberland Skills are delighted to invite parents/carers and pupils to Apprenticeship Connect, a major event hosted by Northumberland County Council to support young people in exploring future careers, apprenticeship opportunities, and local pathways into employment.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore how apprenticeships help develop valuable Skills for Life.
Location: County Hall, Morpeth, Northumberland, NE61 2EF
Date: Saturday 27th June Time: 10:30 am – 1:00 pm (9:30 am – 10:30 am dedicated quiet hour)
Cost: Free
This event is designed to help pupils who are considering their next steps – whether that involves choosing an apprenticeship, exploring a particular career sector, or understanding what skills employers are looking for.
At Apprenticeship Connect, young people can learn more about:
· Current and upcoming apprenticeship vacancies
· Entry routes into a wide range of industries
· Training pathways and skills development
· Career opportunities across Northumberland
A range of local employers will also be attending, each with dedicated stands, giving attendees the opportunity to speak directly with organisations, ask questions, and gain first-hand insight into different industries and career paths.
We would ask schools to display, and send to parents/carers, the two flyers (here and here). There is a specific quiet hour between 9.30am and 10.30am for those pupils who prefer a calmer environment.
