Dear Colleague
As you know, the government is committed to giving every pupil regardless of their background the best start in life, breaking down barriers to every child achieving and thriving at school and in later life, by ensuring they are ready to learn, as well as supporting families with cost of living, and tackling poverty.
An important part of that strategy is the Free Breakfast Club Programme (FBC).
DfE would like all schools who are not yet part of the FBC to complete a short survey in readiness for the statutory national roll out.
Completing the survey will help the DfE understand:
- what breakfast provision currently looks like in schools not already delivering the free breakfast clubs programme
- how prepared schools feel ahead of implementation
- where further guidance, tools or resources would be useful
- how to offer support that is practical, proportionate and tailored to their context
Completing the survey will also help your school prepare for implementation by highlighting a range of delivery approaches and options suited to different contexts, sizes and existing provision. At the end of the survey, you will be signposted to guidance and resources to support early planning.
Please complete this DfE survey by 17 July https://dferesearch.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3xdxJW3AieoMxKK
