You may be aware September marks Sexual Health Awareness month, as well as the updated Relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) guidance officially coming into effect on 1st September.
‘This short video shows a demonstration of a walk-through Northumberland One to One Sexual Health Service, which is based in Blyth Community Hospital. This can be used in PHSE lessons to support the implementation of the updated RSHE guidance in secondary schools, to promote good sexual health and increase awareness of local services available to young people.’

Can we also please promote the Elephant in the Room campaign toolkit, which has various resources & is also available free of charge to schools. The campaign & available toolkit & resources aims to promote free confidential sexual health advice, and encourage the uptake of STI testing & condom usage.

Finally, can I also boost the Pharmacy Contraception Services toolkit, which promotes the supply of oral contraception in pharmacies, including emergency contraception. It also promotes the new contraception services pilot which includes the supply of depo injectable contraception, at participating community pharmacies (list included). This is a free of charge, confidential, walk in service available for all eligible women without the need to make an appointment or visit a GP/sexual health clinic.
