Summer Water Safety

Shared on behalf of the Children and Young People Safety Reference Group and CAPT

As we’ve sadly seen in recent weeks, warmer weather brings a heightened risk of drowning. So, as we head into the summer months, we’ve pulled together our top tips for water safety.

Our NEW page reveals different risks at different ages and shares practical advice for staying safe at the pool or beach and around rivers, lakes and reservoirs.

See water document attached and visit this link for more information https://capt.org.uk/summer-water-safety/?utm_source=capt&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=DPW&mc_cid=9622f9c7a9&mc_eid=dc497db7e9

It also explains cold water shock, how learning to float can be a lifesaver and what to do in an emergency.
