As per information sent by the DfE to schools on 1 September, the 2025 KS2 September Checking Exercise will open on Monday 8 September 2025 and close at 5:00pm on Friday 19 September 2025.
You will access the 2025 KS2 September checking exercise in the CYPMD portal here. Schools will be notified when the checking exercise is open.
The 2025 KS2 September checking exercise guidance is available in advance to help you prepare for the checking exercise opening. All other guidance, including the KS2 September ‘How To’ videos, is also available now.
CYPMD Portal
The CYPMD portal will be accessed using a DfE Sign-in account. This is the same secure sign-in system used by many DfE services. Details on how to create an account can be found here.
