Apprenticeship Connect Event – Saturday 7 February

Northumberland Skills are delighted to invite you to Apprenticeship Connect on Saturday 7th February from 10am-1pm, a major event hosted by Northumberland County Council at County Hall in Morpeth to support young people in exploring future careers, apprenticeship
opportunities and local pathways into employment.

This year’s event links with National Apprenticeship Week 2026 (9–15 February) – a nationwide celebration recognising the positive impact apprenticeships have on individuals, employers and communities.

This free event is designed to help students who are considering their next steps – whether that
nvolves choosing an apprenticeship, exploring a particular career sector, or understanding what skills employers are looking for. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore how apprenticeships help develop valuable Skills for Life.

At Apprenticeship Connect, young people can learn more about:

  • Current and upcoming apprenticeship vacancies
  • Entry routes into a wide range of industries
  • Training pathways and skills development
  • Career opportunities across Northumberland

There is a letter to distribute to appropriate year groups (years 10, 11 and 13) here, and a flyer for a noticeboard here.
