Early Years Moderation- Summative Assessment

These sessions are designed to strengthen practitioners’ understanding and application of assessment across the EYFS. They support: 

• Accurate and consistent judgements 

• Improved reliability of EYFS Profile (EYFSP) data 

• Shared professional understanding to support transition to Year 1  

The sessions promote collaborative discussion, moderation, and reflection on best practice in line with national expectations. 

Our second session will focus on making accurate and reliable summative judgements to help practitioners:  

• develop confidence in making end-point judgements 

• ensure consistency and reliability in assessments 

• address common misconceptions about early years age and stage expectations
