Writing training and moderation: Year 6 CENTRAL

Become more confident in systematically moderating writing in school

Required material: Teachers should bring books for 3-6 pupils 

During the first part of the session, key statements from the teacher assessment framework will be unpicked using national training materials. Year 6 teachers will explore pupil can statements focusing on the difference between 2 standards. Following this input, teachers will have time to look through some of their own pupils’ writing books concentrating on, and evidencing, the statements for their key stage. 

There is no charge for maintained schools or those signed up to the Moderation and Testing SLA. Costs for schools from outside of the SLAs are charged at £45 per participant.
