The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is hosting Work Experience Week from Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July 2026 at our head office Stella House, at Newburn Riverside, Newcastle.
This five-day placement is designed to inspire students and gives a chance to explore a wide range of nonclinical careers that support the NHS – from digital, data and technology to HR, finance, project management and more.
Students will take part in hands-on activities, hear from colleagues across the organisation and build skills that support their next steps. They’ll:
- discover career paths they may not have considered
- build confidence, practical workplace and interpersonal skills
- gain meaningful experience for future applications
- meet professionals and develop networks
We have ringfenced 50% of the places available to students from lower socio-economic backgrounds. We know that these students are often underrepresented in work experience placements and face additional barriers when accessing early careers opportunities, therefore we particularly encourage applications from those students and would be thrilled to have your support in encouraging those students to apply and participate in this exciting opportunity.
