Portage (2 Day) Workshop
An introduction to the Portage approach to working with children with SEND and their families.
Aimed at: Pre-school and nursery practitioners, school SENCOs, newly qualified practitioners, support staff working with children with SEND.

Attendance Fee: £150 per attendee

- Positive Approaches to Children’s Behaviour
The Workshop aims to: develop participants understanding of the Portage Principles and their ability to apply Portage skills in the workplace.
On completion of the Workshop participants will be able to:
- Link the Portage Principles into their current practice.
- Write specific targets using ‘clear language.’
- Breakdown long term outcomes into specific short-term outcomes, to set appropriate SMART targets for SEND learners.
- Implement practical activities and techniques
- Implement positive approaches to children’s behaviour
