As part of the NTCA STEM ‘Inspire’ project Kielder Observatory are hosting a “STEMployer talk” – a livestream intended for in-class viewing on Tuesday 24 November between 13.10 and 14.10.

This session will cover a basic introduction to astronomy and taking a look at our position in the universe. The session will also feature a simulated tour of the night sky and include a Q&A feature, allowing teachers to submit questions on behalf of their class to be answered live. Additionally, possible careers and routes into this amazing industry will also be covered. This session will be suitable for secondary school classes and is completely free for schools within the North of Tyne Combined Authority to attend.
