Spaced learning involves teachers delivering the same content across multiple sessions, with breaks in between. The EEF are looking for schools to take part in the next phase of trialling this approach.
SUMMARY of SMART Spaces trial
- This trial is funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and the Wellcome Foundation.
- Schools in intervention group will receive the SMART Spaces training, coaching and materials free of charge.
- Schools in comparison group will receive a £1000 payment after the project is complete.
- Intervention schools: teachers in schools selected to act as intervention schools, who teach the chemistry content of AQA combined science GCSE, will attend one training session (Oct ’18-Jan ’19), take part in a coaching observation visit (Jan-Mar ’19), and deliver the revision programme to all Chemistry Y11 combined science GCSE classes during May 2019
