Skills Builder webinar for Northumberland schools

Skills Builder are really excited to offer you the opportunity to attend a Skills Builder Webinar.

It’s proven that skills such as Teamwork, Problem Solving and Speaking have a crucial place in any stage of a learner’s life, from helping to unlock learning at school to enhancing employability in adulthood. But it’s now even more important than ever that our education systems provide opportunities to build such skills given it is these skills which will prove essential to the navigation of our new future.

For over 10 years, The Skills Builder Partnership have been working towards their mission that one day everyone will build the essential skills they need to succeed. We bring together schools and colleges, employers and organisations, around a common approach underpinned by a rigorous, progressive framework that breaks 8 essential skills down into teachable, tangible chunks.

Their flagship programme for schools and colleges, known as the Accelerator, supports you to do just that. Developed with 200+ leading organisations, it includes training, support, tools and resources to enhance teacher’s confidence in teaching essential skills and provide real impact for learners. They work with schools to develop a complete strategy for teaching essential skills, provide a framework to hook existing efforts onto and ultimately ensure that learners are equipped with these skills when they leave education.

There are a limited number of fully funded memberships available for 2021-22 (usual costs £1800). We are really keen to provide you with the opportunity to gain a place. During the session, we will:

·         Explain more about the Accelerator programme,

·         Offer top tips on how to submit a high-quality application to maximise chance of success in gaining funding,

·         Highlight the many ways in which this programme helps schools and colleges to meet the Gatsby Benchmarks.
