Dear Head Teacher,
Are you looking for an NQT for September 2020? Do you want someone who can teach high quality Physical Education alongside the rest of the curriculum? Are you thinking about how to effectively use some of your PE and Sport Premium funding?
Recruit through the North East Partnership SCITT
If you are looking to recruit a teacher for September 2020 who has a specialism in physical education then why not consider recruiting through the North East Partnership SCITT.
We are ranked as one of the top ten postgraduate teacher training providers in the country in the Good Teacher Training Guide and a National Centre of Excellence for physical education. These accolades, along with our outstanding Ofsted judgement, mean that we can recruit high calibre applicants who we are able to develop in to good and outstanding trainee teachers by the end of their training year.
In September 2016 we introduced an innovative new primary teacher training course and this year have a cohort of eleven trainees, seven male and four female, who are being trained to teach high quality physical education alongside the core subjects and other foundation subjects, across key stages one and two. On completion of the course they will be qualified primary teachers with a specialism in physical education.
We are hoping that schools will consider employing these trainees for September 2020, first and foremost as class teachers, but secondly as an alternative to sports coaches or to work alongside sports coaches to develop physical education and school sport in line with the requirements of the PE and Sport Premium Funding.
During their NQT year there will be an opportunity for them to continue to work with us to complete a subject leadership module which will prepare them to lead high quality physical education and sport in schools and to lead regional sports initiatives.
If you have a job vacancy for September, you can advertise directly through us for no charge by contacting myself on email@example.com , 0191 2961432 or 07786387467. Alternatively, provide us with details about your advert and we will notify our trainees.
The enclosed brochure provides more detailed information about the programme and a one page profile on each of the current cohort.
