Poverty Proofing the School Day webinar

Tuesday 9th July, 3.30pm-4.45pm

In the UK, approximately 20% of all people – and 30% of children – live in poverty. People living in poverty often face additional barriers to participating in important experiences, such as school, healthcare, and cultural and community activities.

Join us for a webinar that looks at the consequences of living in poverty and how it can affect children’s progress and experience of school. You will hear a case study from Abingdon Primary School in Middlesbrough as well recommendations for what schools and education establishments can do to support all their students and families in the cost of living crisis.

This webinar is hosted by Children North East and is aimed at anyone that works within education.
