The template 2016/17 Pay Policy for schools and revised salary scales previously circulated apply the 2016 1% pay award for teachers not only to the statutory minima and maxima of the main and upper pay ranges but also to all reference points, TLRs and other allowances.
Please note that should you wish to utilise the discretion not to apply the 1% pay award, you will need to negotiate this separately with the recognised trade unions and inform Northumberland County Council’s (NCC’s) Employee Services of your decision.
Please respond to Beverley Emmerson email@example.com in Employee Services by 31 October, should there be no response Employee Services will automatically apply the 1% to all reference points, TLRs and other allowances.
Whilst the STPCD does not preclude a pay increase as a direct consequence of the uprating of the pay points as set out above, it is important to note that pay progression itself must be linked to a teacher’s performance.
