Following on from having run two successful cohorts in the North of the county beginning in June 2018, The Branton Primary School Cluster is looking for expressions of interest from schools to run a cohort of NPQSL and NPQML beginning in June 2019. This cluster would be based in the north of the county so most convenient for teachers and staff in the Alnwick, Berwick and Coquet Partnerships, although expressions of interest from other partnerships are very welcome.
Working in partnership with NETSP, we would offer NPQML for current or aspiring Middle Leaders and NPQSL for current or aspiring Senior Leaders. As for the current cohorts, we would encourage participants from any phase of education and facilitate visits to different settings where the face to face days will be hosted. To find out more please click on the links below.
At the moment Northumberland staff are able to access funding covering the cost of course participation fully (Supply cover costs are not covered) to enable staff to participate in these National Professional Qualifications. The current costs to staff in other authorities is £750 for the NPQML and £850 for NPQSL. The funding will only run for a limited period of time and to a limited total amount, so we would encourage expressions of interest to make the most of this funded opportunity. Lunch and refreshments are provided on each of the four face to face days that would be over the period June to November 2019.
There does need to be a minimum amount of interest for a cohort to run, so could you please indicate interest by registering your details here (to come to zoe.ryan@branton. northumberland.sch.uk) and we will contact you once the required level of interest is reached.
