MISSION DISCOVERY – EXTRA FULLY FUNDED PLACES NOW AVAILABLE FOR NORTHUMBERLAND SCHOOLS

MISSION DISCOVERY – EXTRA FULLY FUNDED PLACES NOW AVAILABLE FOR NORTHUMBERLAND SCHOOLS

GO ORBITAL – START YOUR SPACE ADVENTURE.

NEWCASTLE OCTOBER 25th to 29th 2021.

We are encouraging schools across Northumberland to nominate students ages 14 – 18 to work with NASA Astronauts, rocket scientists and NASA personnel for a week.

There is no predetermined selection process, giving everyone equal opportunity to get involved, whether teachers wish to engage to inspire or to stretch their nominated student’s abilities.

In teams, students will propose an idea for their own science experiment; the selected idea will be launched into space and carried out by Astronauts aboard the International Space Station.

With help from Astronauts, NASA role models, Astronaut trainers, NASA personnel, scientists and engineers; students will learn about space and STEM through a variety of exhilarating hands-on activities.

Northumberland County Council has secured additional places sponsored by local businesses for Northumberland children and young people.
