Funded opportunity for schools in the North East to implement Reciprocal Reading

Opportunity North East (ONE) has shortlisted a Reciprocal Reading project in KS2 and KS3 to be led by the Legacy Learning Trust (led by Acklam Grange). We are looking for middle/secondary schools who wish to participate to register for this project. Schools must be willing to recruit 3 feeder schools to participate with them (one cluster), and staff will be trained together and this project delivered in targeted form in KS2 (Y6) & KS3 (Y7-8). Grant award will be confirmed this term enabling the project to start implementation in Spring term 2020.

The cost of implementing Reciprocal Reading per school is approximately £2500: This includes two days external training, two ½ days in-school support, and all resources.

Every schools who participates in this project (1 secondary and 3 primaries per cluster or 1-2 middle and 1 high) during January 2020 and March 2022 will receive:

· Fully funded training and resources

· £1000 per school
