We are pleased to present a series of webinars based around the EEF’s Literacy Guidance reports led by Caroline Bilton and Sarah Stock. They will share salient points to provoke and deepen thinking around reading. This will include use of the latest evidence to inform and develop practice.
What are the aims of this session?
- Outline the evidence which supports the development of speech and language as the foundations for learning
- Outline how we can develop language through implicit and explicit approaches, including strategies to support high quality interactions
- Outline the importance of phonemic awareness to support the journey to become readers balance between the teaching of decoding and comprehension as children begin their journey to become leaders
