We cover:\n\nDefinition of victim blaming and the distinction between direct/explicit and indirect/unconscious attitudes\nThe different forms that victim blaming takes and how victim blaming attitudes may be expressed\nThe impact of victim blaming on children and young people and how this can become a barrier to reporting\nIdentifying strategies for challenging attitudes to victim blaming illustrated using CEOP\nEducation’s Jessie & Friends and Send Me A Pic? resources for children and young people\nPractical suggestions of ways to change victim blaming attitudes in education settings\n\nCEOP Five Part Series\nRoles and responsibilities were more clearly outlined by the Dfe last year. We strongly advise DSLs to attend the full series of CEOP sessions listed below to ensure they have a strong foundational knowledge of online risks and can pass relevant information to their colleagues.
