The Great Get Together is one of the UK’s largest community events, which will take place this year from June 21 – 23. It provides a brilliant reason to do something in your school to encourage community cohesion and celebrate diversity.
The PSHE Association has supported the Great Get Together since its inception, and we have partnered with the Jo Cox Foundation on PSHE resources and activities to get your students involved. These have been updated for 2019 and are available to download free from the Great Get Together site along with other materials for pre-school, primary, secondary and sixth form.
The Great Get Together ‘schools day’ is on June 21 but you are free to join in whenever you wish. Your school can get involved in a number of ways, from holding a Great Get Together assembly, organising a sports day or leading a class activity that brings pupils together to celebrate all we have in common.
