In January, the Great North Maths Hub are delighted to be welcoming two teachers from Shanghai, who will spend two weeks working within Regent Farm First School. As part of this trip, there is an exciting opportunity to observe the teachers delivering a lesson to students at the school.
The sessions are free to attend, but must be booked as places are limited. You can choose from 2 mornings to attend, Tuesday 17th January or Wednesday 18th January.

Developing Mathematical Reasoning at Key Stage 2.
This is a free of charge CPD opportunity aimed at Developing Reasoning at Key Stage 2. The programme runs across 3 half day sessions, and is being delivered in both Northumberland and South Tyneside. The hugely popular programme aims to deepen participants understanding of algebraic reasoning and its development across Key Stage 2.

Developing Mixed Ability Forum
This forum is for teachers that are interested in developing mixed ability teaching within their schools. The sessions will explore effective methods in mixed ability mathematics teaching, and will develop and share best practice. The group will create and source resources for the mixed ability classroom to enable students to have the best possible experience and outcomes.

NCETM Professional Development Lead Support Programme
This is a development programme for those who lead professional development for teachers of mathematics. NCETM Accredited PD Lead status is gained by successfully completing a development and accreditation training programme which involves two and a half days cpd, coupled with an interim task.
The programme delivery will be spread across the Spring and Summer term.
