The Laurel Trust are a charity which supports, and works in partnership, with collaborations/networks of primary schools, early years and special education settings. The core purpose is to support schools in areas of deprivation in order to improve progress and outcomes for children.
The trust wish to do so by supporting research and innovation projects which focus on reducing disadvantage and securing greater equity.
Therefore each year the trust offers grants for creative projects which will make a difference to the quality of learning and lead to improved pupil achievement. The intended projects must be sustainable and suitable for wider dissemination to support the school-led system.
This year, in awarding the grants the Trustees have chosen to focus on research/innovation projects which support vulnerable children to thrive and succeed.
The application round is currently open and advertisements inviting collaborations of schools to apply have appeared in TES, Nursery World and Headteacher Update. Full details are also on our website www.laureltrust.org.uk
