Cygnus Support is a local mental health and wellbeing charity. They deliver free, confidential mental health and domestic abuse services from their offices based in Ashington and through an outreach service across Northumberland.
As part of their grant from Big Lottery Fund they are hoping to expand their services to the more rural areas in Northumberland. They want to find out how their health and wellbeing services can be better promoted and delivered in rural areas and in which locations.
They are aware of issues around rural transport links and accessing a range of health and wellbeing services and need to find out where people are able or prepared to travel to access their services. They also want to establish what need there is for their services in rural communities.
Along with their Big Lottery Fund they also receive funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner to provide counselling services for victims of crime, in particular victims of domestic and sexual abuse. Their consultation will also provide them with information about the need for these services too.
They will be visiting a number of rural communities during week commencing 16th July 2018 of which a poster giving the planned locations and dates can be found here.
Please help to promote the consultation and display the poster in preparation for their visits.
